رام الله / أكدت كتلة نضال الصحفيين على أهمية تنفيذ قرار مجلس الأمن رقم (2222) والمتعلق بحماية الصحفيين لتعزيز سلامة الصحفيين حول العالم، خاصة في فلسطين.
وقالت الكتلة لمناسبة اليوم العالمي لمنع الإفلات من العقاب على الجرائم المرتكبة بحق الصحفيين الذي يصادف اليوم السبت ،أن حصيلة حرب الإبادة على شعبنا شهدت أكبر حصيلة من الجرائم بحق الصحفيين مقارنة بالحروب السابقة، وقد بلغ عدد الصحفيين الفلسطينيين الذين ارتقوا شهداء في غزة 174 صحفيا، وهذا العدد يمثل 10% من إجمالي الصحفيين العاملين في قطاع غزة.
وأضافت إن عدم تقديم مرتكبي الجرائم من جنود الاحتلال للمحاكمة الدولية يشجعهم على مواصلة الانتهاكات ضد الصحفيين.
ودعت الاتحاد الدولي للصحفيين لتوفير الحماية للصحفيين الفلسطينيين، ومعاقبة الاحتلال على جرائمه، والافراج عن الاسرى الصحفيين.
